How Many Men Does it Take to Put Up Christmas Lights?

Apparently the answer is 4. One on the roof (my husband, God love him), one on a ladder, and 2 on the ground for moral support (I guess)!!
I would like everyone to know that last year I basically put up and took down those very lights BY MYSELF!!! MEN!

More Baby Pictures!!

I had a doctor appointment today and because of the swelling in my right leg and not in my left, the doctor wanted a Doppler of my legs to check for any blockage. Luckily there was not any blockage and the doctor was nice enough to sneak a few pictures of Landen!!! Here they are!

Another Success!

Last night Brett had a few friends over to watch the UFC fight....woo hoo! But I decided to try a new recipe out on them. I made Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sandwiches. They were such a hit that I hardly have any leftovers, and incredibly easy. I will put the link to the recipe up as soon as the page is available again. It only takes a 2lb pork shoulder roast, 1/2 cup BBQ sauce and I modified to have 1 onion sliced. Put in the crock pot for 10 hours on low....pull meat apart and serve on Kaiser rolls with a Kraft single slice.

Yummy Supper!

Last night I cooked supper very quickly before heading off to the breastfeeding class. Brett stayed home from work with a really bad cough. We both really like this recipe so I thought I would share with everyone for meatball sandwiches. The only change I made was to put sliced Swiss cheese (like Kraft Singles) on the bun and toasted them instead of using shredded mozzarella. But that was only because I didn't have the mozzarella! But it was still very good. And it only took about 30 minutes from start to finish.

That much closer

We are getting closer to getting Landen's room ready for his arrival! Only a few more weeks!!! Here are some pictures of the bedding that arrived today. I was so excited I got it was and on the bed right away!

The room is getting so full with other things that I had a hard time getting a good angle...

OH Baby!!

I am home today from work with terrible back pain. I hate being gone from work, it is more work than actually being there. SO, you know I am not feeling good when I take a day off. I am thinking that baby Landen is resting very comfortably on a nerve in my back, and has been since Friday after school.

Saturday we went to the birthing class in Topeka. It was a lot of information that I already knew, but it was good for Brett and it eased my mind a little. But, it also made the whole thing more real. It also hit me that in just a few weeks this baby is coming weather I am ready or not! So we started doing laundry and packing the hospital bag and writing out the birth plan. I am starting to feel more and more ready, physically and mentally. I only have about 6-7 weeks left! Where has the time gone?

We bought the bedding for the crib this weekend. This is a picture of what we got! It is not at all what we originally picked, but I love it!

I am now getting excited to get it in an start decorating the nursery!! That will really make it feel more real.

Halloween

I always forget that Blogger puts the pictures up in the opposite order that I download them. So here are a few pictures from Halloween.

This is a picture of a house on 12th and Rural that had 100 pumpkins on their lawn.
I couldn't resist driving by and taking a couple pictures. Obviously this person has too much time and money!!!

We were blessed to be visited by the cutest little turkey!!! Don't worry about Thanksgiving Lucas I am sure you will be pardoned!!

Here is one of the few pictures you will ever see of my kids. They are all dressed up in their costumes. They are so cute. Luckily there are no faces in this picture so I feel good about putting it u

My fellow kindergarten teachers. Mrs. Twinkle from Chrysanthemum, Miss Bendergarten, and the Lady with the alligator purse.
